At Fiddleheads, we're your trusted source for supplements, natural health and beauty products, health foods, and fresh smoothie bar offerings — and for over 25 years we've helped the Kitchener–Waterloo–Cambridge community make informed choices in their quest for a healthier lifestyle. Full shelves start in the backroom, and our Bridgeport Hub store is where much of our product lands first. We're hiring a Warehouse Assistant to own receiving and backroom operations and keep stock flowing to the floor.
What you'll do
- Receive deliveries from our suppliers and distributors — unload, count, and check product against invoices and purchase orders
- Catch and flag shortages, damages, and substitutions so our ordering team can follow up
- Check dates and rotate stock — oldest out first, always
- Move refrigerated and frozen product into coolers and freezers promptly
- Put away product and keep the backroom, shelving, and receiving area organized, clean, and safe
- Stage and prepare inter-store transfers so product gets where it sells best
- Help with counts, pricing, and labels to keep our inventory accurate
- Pitch in on the floor — restocking, facing, and supporting the team during busy stretches
What we're looking for
- Warehouse, receiving, stockroom, or grocery experience is an asset — attitude matters more, and we'll train
- A genuine interest in natural health and wellness
- Detail-oriented and dependable — you count carefully, catch discrepancies, and follow through
- Organized and self-directed — you keep a space tidy and see what needs doing next
- Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; pallet jack experience is an asset (training provided)
- Weekday daytime availability, including early starts on delivery days
