Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaner / Janitor to operate as an Independent Contractor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various commercial and facility environments. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work independently, ensuring spaces are safe, clean, and welcoming for clients and staff alike.
Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in commercial facilities.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, lobbies, offices, and other designated areas.
- Handle waste disposal and replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Use cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to appropriate personnel or clients promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial services, especially in commercial settings.
- Knowledge of facilities maintenance and basic maintenance procedures is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently without supervision.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
- Good communication skills for understanding client requirements and reporting issues.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods. Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
