LOCATION: Centennial Auto Group - Primarily PEI locations
HOURS: Full Time, permanent, 40 -45 hours per week (some flexibility required).
COMPENSATION: $19 - $24 per hour, plus benefits (negotiable based on skills and experience)

THE PERFECT FIT:
We're looking for a dependable, hands-on individual to join our team and help keep everything running smoothly. As our General Maintenance Worker, you'll perform a wide variety of routine and preventative maintenance tasks with other team members to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment stay in excellent condition. If you're a practical, get-it-done person who takes pride in maintaining a clean and safe workplace, we'd love to hear from you!
APPLICABLE SKILLS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in general maintenance, facilities upkeep, construction, or a related hands-on role (preferred but not always required — we will train the right person)
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and/or HVAC systems
Overhead door experience considered an asset
Comfortable using common hand tools, power tools, and ladders
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Good physical condition — able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, climb, and work in various weather conditions (if outdoor work applies)
Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred / required if travel or company vehicle use is involved)
Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to following health & safety protocols
Availability for occasional on-call / after-hours emergency response (if applicable)
JOB TASKS:
Performing minor repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building systems
Conducting routine maintenance on HVAC, lighting, doors, locks, windows, and fixtures
Handling basic troubleshooting and repairs on equipment and machinery
Performing general cleaning, groundskeeping, snow removal (seasonal), and waste management as needed
Installing or replacing basic equipment, shelves, bulletin boards, or hardware
Responding to maintenance requests and emergency calls in a timely manner
Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues resolved
Operating hand tools, power tools, and light machinery safely
Assisting with larger projects or coordinating with licensed contractors when required
