About the Role
GeoFocus Group is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the construction of multiple wood-frame purpose-built rental developments in the Barrie region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead projects from pre-construction through completion while working closely with our Construction Manager, Project Manager, consultants and trade partners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Over a three-year period, the successful candidate will be on-site as supervisor for multiple wood-frame projects, each valued between $2.2 million and $2.6 million, with additional projects presently in development.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Construction
- Review project drawings and specifications prior to construction.
- Prepare and implement site construction management plans.
- Review CCDC 17 trade contracts and identify any scope gaps before construction begins.
- Assist the Construction Manager with the execution and administration of CCDC 5A and CCDC 17 contract requirements.
Construction Management
- Provide full-time, on-site supervision throughout each project.
- Coordinate and schedule all trade contractors to maintain project timelines.
- Review and maintain the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, quality and contract compliance.
- Review trade contractor invoices during construction.
- Track, document and assist Project Coordinator and Project Manager with any extra work in accordance with contract requirements.
- Review submittals and shop drawings.
- Collaborate with consultants, clients and trade contractors for site measurements and project coordination.
- Attend bi-weekly project meetings with the owner, consultants and trade contractors.
- Maintain ongoing communication with consultants, municipal and regional authorities, Ministry of Labour representatives and other regulatory agencies.
Project Administration
- Maintain accurate daily site logs using Procore or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Take and upload site photographs to Procore to log and document daily site condition progress.
- Report daily to the Project Manager.
- Participate in monthly project reviews with the Director of Construction.
- Support project close-out, deficiencies and turnover documentation.
Health & Safety
- Promote and enforce company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, including inspections with third-party safety consultants.
- Report and document health and safety incidents and infractions to the Construction Manager.
- Ensure compliance with all municipal, provincial and regulatory health and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum of three completed wood-frame multi-residential projects of similar size and complexity.
- Experience with wood-frame buildings at minimum 10,000 square feet, including all fire stopping/smoke seal requirements.
- Demonstrated experience supervising purpose-built rental or comparable residential developments.
- Strong understanding and practical experience administering CCDC 5A and CCDC 17 contracts.
- Experience using Procore and/or Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple trade contractors while maintaining project schedules and budgets.

Reporting Structure
- Daily reporting to the Project Manager.
- Monthly reporting to the Director of Construction.
- Supported by a Project Coordinator for RFIs, submittals and project documentation.
