Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to regulations, and excellent driving skills. Candidates with experience in forklift operation, heavy equipment operation, or automotive repair will find this position especially suitable. The AZ Truck Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the integrity of freight shipments.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ licensed commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
- Assist with warehouse operations, including loading, unloading, and organizing freight as required.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to management.
Requirements
- Valid AZ Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, and heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus for troubleshooting vehicle issues.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling.
- Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
