Patent Agents at BLG assist in drafting patent specifications for our clients’ inventions and prosecuting patent applications in Canada and abroad, working with agents in other jurisdictions.
This position is open in our Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa or Montreal offices.
We are looking for

A qualified Canadian Patent Agent with a background in electrical or computer engineering and experience in high-tech.

The candidate should be in their first 3 years of patent agency work.

The ideal candidate will have significant patent drafting experience.
The candidate must possess:

strong communication skills, both written and verbal,

an eye for detail,

interpersonal skills for collaborative work with colleagues and the firm’s clients, and

time management and organizational skills.
