Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Arborist Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree health assessments. This role involves providing expert advice on tree care, conducting inspections, and developing management plans to ensure the health and safety of trees in various environments. The Arborist Consultant will work closely with clients to address their needs and promote sustainable practices.
Duties
- Perform various tasks as directed by the principal arborist
- Assist the principal arborist in completing different projects
- Supervise and guide different trades on site for activities occurring in and near tree-protected zones
- Inventory trees and record tree data
- Prepare arborist reports in different contexts, specifically tree-cutting permits, building permits, and tree risk assessments
- Devise and develop project-specific tree management plans with the use of PDF editing software
- Answer and advise clients on any tree inquiries
- Perform light to moderate physical work as needed at a job site
- Applicants may be asked to join the tree crew and participate in active tree work
Requirements
- Must have current and valid ISA Certified Arborist and Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
- Must be able to fluently communicate and write in English
- Proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is an asset
- Work experience in arboriculture consulting is an asset
- Applicants are expected to work variable hours per week, as well as occasionally in the outdoor environment
- Class 5 driver's license
- Applicants will be asked to use their personal vehicle for work purposes, although a company vehicle may become available at times.
