Overview
Hewson Brothers Building Supply is a building supply company based out of Cambridge, Brantford and Niagara. We specialize in the delivery of building supplies such as, Drywall, steel, insulation, ceiling tile and other supplies.
We are currently seeking an experienced boom operator with a DZ license.
Job duties include driving to job sites and working with co-workers in the completion of daily deliveries of several different building materials, such at drywall, steel studs, insulation, ceiling tiles and more.
Must be able to work flexible hours on short notice. Normal start time is 6:00 to 6:30 am but may be asked to start earlier if needed. Finish time is 2:30 to 3:00 pm or when deliveries are completed for the day. Hours may vary depending on deliveries.
Responsibilities:
- Daily circle check, report and upkeep of company vehicle, including general maintenance and cleanliness of cabs
-Verifying loads and paperwork. Tarping and strapping
-Completion of all daily Inspections book and log sheets.
-Safe and timely deliveries and pick ups of materials
-Loading materials into Commercial and Residential Buildings using a Moffett or Material Handling Boom.
--Communicate with co-workers and anyone in the area of the delivery to maintain safety.
-Overseeing the delivery activity while on the job site.
-Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
-Report damaged or missing materials or equipment.
-Abide by all rules of the road.
-Adhere and follow company Health & Safety policies and regulations.
-Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $30.00-$32.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brantford, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- Delivery driver: 5 years (preferred)
