Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GLP Theory Instructor to join our team. You must have GLT (Theory) designation from ICBC. Our classrooms are taught in 3 hour increments and are done via Zoom from our studio in Pitt Meadows, therefore, you must be tech savvy and be able to engage with people via an online platform.
the typical week during school season is afternoons/evening (3:00 - 10:00 pm) and in the summer/spring and Christmas breaks it could shift to be 10:00 am - 5:00 pm). Exact schedules to be worked out.
Duties
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lessons on GLP theory, ensuring content is engaging and accessible for young adults
- Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation, curiosity, and critical thinking
- Assess student progress through observations and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback
- Maintain organized and concise records of attendance etc
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and developmental levels
Experience
- Prior tutoring or teaching experience, especially in online education or classroom settings
- Ability to help in evolving our curriculum to be current and industry leading
- Familiarity with technology including troubleshooting is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
