Reporting to the Manager, Claims Administration & Training, the Case Worker will be a key member of a dedicated team committed to providing service excellence in the administration of our long term disability plan.

Here’s the exciting journey:
- Develop a knowledge foundation by learning about our D&R Plan, departmental procedures, and in-house D&R claims management system.
- Interact with the D&R team and support the D&R Administration, Claims Specialist, and Rehabilitation functions.
- Assist members through the long term disability claim application process.
Your responsibilities will increase to:
- Assisting in the D&R claim set-up, including effective communication with members and stakeholders.
- Improving your abilities and enhancing your effectiveness by developing a comprehensive understanding of our department’s activities along with the D&R Plan Text provisions.
- Expanding your knowledge and skills as you gain experience administering the D&R claim application process and performing benefit calculations.
Qualifications for Your Success:
Experience & Education
- Completion of a post-secondary degree or diploma in a Health-related field.
- Three plus years of group insurance administration experience, managing disability application forms and performing benefit calculations.
- Completion of the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) – Group Benefits Associate (GBA) certification would be considered an asset.
*An equivalent of education and experience may be considered

- A professional demeanor with a strong focus on service excellence.
- Proven strength in both oral and written communication.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Experience in balancing tasks with competing priorities and varying deadlines.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
- Commitment to continuous learning and ongoing professional development.
