Your Opportunity:
The Administrative Support III will be a member of a primary health care team based at or out of Beaumont Public Health Centre and is responsible for clerical and receptionist duties including greeting clients, switchboard, booking appointments, assisting with weighing and measuring babies, data entry/word processing, records management, and other related clerical duties as required. This position requires the employee to pack, lift, move, and transport heavy or awkward supplies to various work sites. This is a multisite position which includes Leduc Public Health Centre, Devon Health Unit and Thorsby Public Health Centre.

As an Administrative Support III, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Excellent communication, telephone, computer and organizational skills. Must have a positive attitude, demonstrate professional image and be a strong team player. You will demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills; be self-directed; demonstrate critical thinking, time management, confliction resolution, and decision-making skills; accurately collect and document information in a timely manner; be adaptable in an environment with constant interruptions and short timelines; show accountability and attention to detail; and foster collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary team; be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing) and will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of a post-secondary secretarial or administrative support certificate from an accredited business school/college. Two years recent secretarial/reception experience. Public Health experience in a rural setting. Proficiency in Meditech & SharePoint.
