NCL- Northern Contracting Limited is currently seeking a CAD Technician to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting project delivery through accurate quantity takeoffs, construction layout preparation, and 3D modeling for civil projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain detailed CAD drawings for heavy civil construction projects
- Perform quantity takeoffs and calculations from drawings and models
- Develop and manage 3D models for construction planning and execution
- Assist with construction layout, including coordinate geometry and field data preparation
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Revise drawings based on project changes and field feedback
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar)
- Experience with 3D modeling in a civil construction environment
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, surveying, and layout principles
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in heavy civil construction projects
- Familiarity with GPS machine control and survey data workflows
- Knowledge of earthworks and infrastructure construction methods
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
