Thunderbolt Contracting Ltd. is currently hiring an experienced driver to fill a position within our team! This role is responsible for delivering and picking up landscape materials, aggregates, equipment, and machinery to support our commercial and residential construction projects throughout the Ottawa area. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating heavy trucks equipped with an 18-speed manual transmission and working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites.
- Performs pre-trip & post-trip inspections of assigned equipment.
- Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Performs all duties as instructed and assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs.
- Operate vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members.
- Maintain accurate driver records.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and equipment after use.
- Communicate issues relating to employee relations, equipment issues, customer issues – make suggestions for solutions.
- Maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.
- Follow all health and safety policies and procedures prescribed by the Company and WHMIS Guidelines in performance of duties.

Requirements:
· At least 2 years’ experience.
· Valid DZ or AZ license.
· Experience operating trucks with an 18-speed manual transmission.
· Clean CVOR and personal abstract.
· Willingness to work 10-to-12-hour days.
· Knowledgeable of Ottawa and the surrounding area.
· Excellent time management and communication skills.
· Proficiency in operating an 18-speed manual transmission is considered an asset
