Reporting to the Program Director of the Service Excellence Transformation Program Administrative Transformation Stream, the Program Coordinator will help ensure the Program delivers across the five key areas of governance, engagement, program management, reporting and benefits realization. They will contribute by providing regular updates and recommendations to the Program Management Office and the Service Excellence Transformation Steering Committee and to providing expert guidance to delivery streams. The Program Coordinator will assist the Program Management Office to be highly accessible and responsive throughout the Program and will help to actively manage the Program.
Controls and monitors the project portfolio lifecycle
Provide effective program coordination, including scheduling all program meetings, key executive interactions with the program, and maintains formal project documentation
Support program management including:
Establishing projects using standard methodology and documentation
Reporting on project progress to a range of stakeholders.
Managing portfolio scope, schedule and resource management
Ensuring projects stay on plan
Work effectively with a diverse team to ensure program success and adherence to project governance, processes and procedures
Collate and analyzes project activity data and benefits realization data.
Schedule program activities including team meetings, project activities and consultations.
Effectively organize stakeholder engagement activities
Provide input to program and project decision to improve performance
A bachelor's degree or equivalent are required; e.g. college diploma plus five years experience in project management
Program management / coordination experience is preferred
Any project management credentials such as PMP are an asset
High attention to detail
Strong skills in project/program management
Ability to win the trust of team members, senior stakeholders and their support staff
Strong skills in stakeholder engagement
Knowledge of the University of Alberta processes and systems
Detailed knowledge of the University of Alberta stakeholder environment
