Job Summary

The Assistant Production Manager/ Quality Control Manager will work closely with the Production Manager and Team to produce drawings for proposals, pricing, active projects, and records. Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide accurate and thorough drawings for proposals, pricing, construction, and record purposes
  • Work effectively with Production team to develop drawings that provide high quality solutions that save time or cost on the project
  • Ensure an electronic copy of the latest revision of all drawings are on file and readily accessible
  • Performs other duties as directed, such as measurement of buildings or production of drawing records
  • Complete daily quality control checklists for all outgoing projects to ensure all details are accurate before the job leaves the warehouse

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Fully functional in AutoCAD with previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to produce construction details from concept drawings
  • Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications
  • Understanding of commercial and residential buildings and materials
  • Ability to work in a team environment, with a focus on deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a factory environment
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, or equivalent experience; completion of CAD training or building technology program preferred
  • Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to balance a busy schedule
  • Familiarity with building code requirements is an asset

Experience in building construction is an asset
