Superintendent - Underground Utilities

Key Information:

Must have at least 5 years in a superintendent role.

Must have at least 10 years of civil construction experience.

Must have 3-5 years Underground Utilities experience.

Must be able to plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned.

Hours: Various shifts, project dependent, 12-hour days

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends (Various shift rotations)

Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

Plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned.

Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman and other field staff.

Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely.

Plan the construction function to establish an affective organization.

Direct the overall construction program of the project.

Ensure project is meeting construction schedule.
-
Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity on site.
Experience and Certifications:
- A minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent role
-
3-5 years of Underground Utilities construction experience is required.

Strong communication skills

Equipment Operator experience or other field experience is an asset.

Must have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II and Leadership for Safety Excellence

Software is heavily used within the organization processes; the candidate must have strong computer skills and have a history of working within software programs such as: Microsoft Office (Excel), and Proprietary Software.

Travel is required - A valid drivers license is required.

A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.

A reliable means of transportation is required.

Proficient English language skills required.
Education: Completion of high school is required.
