Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing and Events Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone eager to gain hands-on experience in marketing, content creation, website management, and event coordination within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
This is a dynamic role where no two days look the same. The ideal candidate is adaptable, organized, and excited to jump between creative, digital, and event-related tasks.
This position is a 4 month- internship, with the possibility for extension.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and execution of marketing materials including newsletters, presentations, and social media content
- Support content development such as graphics, visuals, and basic video editing
- Assist with front-end website updates using WordPress, ensuring content is current and aligned with brand standards
- Gather and report on website and social media analytics to help track performance and inform future strategies
- Help plan and coordinate events including trade shows, client activations, and internal team events
- Manage RSVP lists, track attendance, and assist with event logistics
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure brand consistency across all materials
- Provide general administrative and organizational support for marketing initiatives
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Events, or a related field
- Experience with Canva and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiarity with WordPress or willingness to learn
- Tech savvy with a strong interest in digital tools and platforms
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
Nice to Have
- Experience with video editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar
- Basic understanding of website or social media analytics tools (Google Analytics, Instagram insights, etc.)
Work Environment
- This is an on-site role based in Scarborough, with a requirement to be in the office four days per week
- Fridays are off
