Job Description
The Table System Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operation, maintenance, and performance of the greenhouse table system. Reporting to and supporting the Table System Coordinator, this role works closely with the Operations Manager, Account Managers, and Team Leaders to plan, schedule, and execute production activities according to the plant lifecycle. The supervisor ensures accurate crop data configuration, efficient production flow, proper equipment maintenance, and provides employees with the training, resources, and information needed to perform their work safely and effectively. This position is key to maximizing operational efficiency, minimizing downtime, and supporting successful greenhouse production.
Job Duties
- Oversee the daily operation, monitoring, and performance of the greenhouse table system.
- Ensure compliance with established operating procedures, crop handling requirements, and GSPP protocols (proper sanitization of tables).
- Supervise, train, and support table system operators and related staff.
- Ensure employees have the appropriate instructions, tools, resources, and system settings to perform their work safely and effectively.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and technical support while promoting a productive team environment.
- Monitor workflow and staffing requirements to achieve production objectives.
- Maintain inventory levels of critical spare parts, tools, and consumable materials.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on table system equipment and related machinery.
- Troubleshoot system, equipment, and operational issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Develop and maintain operational schedules for table operators and greenhouse activities.
- Monitor production progress and adjust plans as needed to accommodate changing priorities, crop requirements, labor availability, or equipment issues.
Requirements
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and support equipment operation and maintenance.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts, as required to support operational demands.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work effectively in a greenhouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures, humidity levels, and production conditions.
- Capability to perform frequent walking, prolonged standing, and routine inspections throughout the table area.
- Ability to maintain a professional and composed demeanor while managing multiple priorities and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated strong work ethics, reliability, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and continuous improvement.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.50 per hour
