Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the skills necessary to maintain beautiful and healthy outdoor spaces. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, contribute to environmental beauty, and develop expertise in gardening practices.
Responsibilities
- Planting, watering, fertilizing, and maintaining various types of plants, shrubs, and trees
- Using hand tools and power tools for trimming, pruning, and shaping landscapes
- Performing landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, edging, and weed control
- Installing and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Monitoring plant health and identifying pests or diseases for appropriate treatment
- Assisting with seasonal clean-up activities including leaf removal and mulching
- Ensuring all work areas are safe, clean, and organized
Qualifications
- Experience with gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance is a plus
- Strong understanding of plant care, soil health, and landscape design principles
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for transportation to different job sites
