Part-time Diagnostic Imaging Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Diagnostic Imaging Assistant to join our team. This position is the first point of contact with patients and is an integral part of a multi-disciplinary team in Diagnostic Services, which includes technologists, practitioners and radiologists.
This position requires a strong attention to detail, understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work collaboratively with health care professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Appropriately schedule appointments (in-person , telephone and fax) using electronic medical record (EMR) software.
- Maximize appointment scheduling to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
- Accurately document patient information and maintain confidential patient health records.
- Adhere to safety protocols, infection control measures, and policies & procedures.
- Work closely with clinician offices to provide pertinent information in a timely fashion.
- Learn and support all clerical roles within the department in order to provide quality patient experiences.
- Process OHIP billing on a weekly basis.
Requirements
- College diploma or relevant certificate in healthcare related field.
- 2 years recent related experience in healthcare setting.
- 2 years experience with OHIP billing.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and health care professionals.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care.
- Current vulnerable sector police check.
Pay: $21.50-$23.00 per hour
