Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Truck Dispatcher for Flatbed company to coordinate and manage daily freight operations within our logistics team. Responsibilities
- Assign and schedule trucking routes using transportation management systems (TMS) to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette at all times.
- Track freight movement using systems like Xpert IT solutions and Samsara, updating shipment statuses accurately through data entry and analysis.
- Monitor shipment progress, troubleshoot delays or issues, and provide real-time updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, shipment data, and incident reports for compliance and analysis purposes.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize freight routes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency through analysis skills.
Experience
- Proven experience working with transportation industry.
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Demonstrated analysis skills to evaluate routing efficiencies and troubleshoot operational issues effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette in handling multi-line phone systems.
- Familiarity with shipping documentation, freight tracking systems, and the use of analysis tools for continuous improvement.
