Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver with a minimum 2 Years Steel experience to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport steel tubing across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to strap down and secure freight efficiently. This is local work, home, every evening.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate DZ licensed trucks for local freight deliveries
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly before transit
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to maintain safety standards
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, with min 2 years steel experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to follow safety protocols and maintain professionalism on the road
Pay: $27.00-$29.00 per hour
