Arnold Crescent Animal Hospital has been part of the Richmond Hill community since 1988. We're a privately owned, family-run veterinary hospital, and we're proud of it. What you'll be doing
This is a hands-on role and an important part of our hospital.
You'll help keep our patients comfortable, our hospital running smoothly and our clinical team supported throughout the day.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Caring for hospitalized and boarding patients
- Feeding, walking and monitoring animals
- Cleaning and maintaining patient areas
- Assisting with patient restraint and handling
- Preparing treatment and examination areas
- Assisting the veterinary technicians and doctors
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
- Laundry, dishes and general hospital duties
- Helping with patient admissions and discharges
- Providing compassionate care to nervous, sick and sometimes very opinionated animals
- Helping wherever the team needs you
And yes, there will be cleaning.
You'll work alongside experienced veterinarians, RVTs and support staff in a hospital where everyone plays an important role in patient care.
Who we're looking for
We're looking for someone who is:
- Experienced working with animals
- Flexible with their schedule (there will be some weekends/evenings)
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments
- Reliable and hardworking
- Calm under pressure
- Comfortable in a busy hospital environment
- Physically capable of a hands-on role
- Detail-oriented and organized
- A good communicator
- Compassionate toward animals and their owners
- Willing to pitch in and help wherever needed
- Someone who takes pride in doing the little things properly
Previous veterinary hospital experience is strongly preferred.
