Are you an experienced horticulturist who takes pride in creating immaculate outdoor spaces and leading others to deliver high-quality work? Join Max Yardcare+ as an Experienced Horticulturist / Crew Lead and help deliver our Yard Detailing service to estate homeowners across southwest Edmonton.
This role is ideal for someone with strong horticultural knowledge, a sharp eye for detail, and the leadership ability to guide a crew of three others in maintaining beautiful, well-kept properties to a high standard.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead a crew of 3 team members on estate homes across southwest Edmonton
- Oversee and participate in detailed garden and landscape maintenance
- Hand-weed garden beds to keep them clean, polished, and well-presented
- Prune and shape hedges, shrubs, and other landscape features
- Identify plant health issues and use horticultural judgment in maintaining plant material
- Apply selective herbicides to hard surfaces and garden areas as needed
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
- Maintain professionalism on-site and help create a strong team culture
- Take ownership of job quality and ensure properties are left looking pristine
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively lead and work alongside a small crew
- Solid knowledge of plant care, pruning, and garden bed maintenance
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and highly professional
- Physically capable of performing outdoor tasks for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license required
- Experience working on high-end or detail-oriented properties is an asset
