Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our auto-service team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repairs and maintenance, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Prior auto or mechanic experience is valued, along with strong sales and upselling abilities. The Service Advisor will play a vital role in building customer trust, recommending appropriate services, and managing repair orders efficiently.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
- Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing accurate estimates and timelines
- Collaborate with technicians to diagnose vehicle issues and communicate findings to customers
- Upsell additional services or products that meet customer needs while maintaining integrity
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, repair orders, and service history
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships
- Assist in promoting auto services and special offers to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and dealership policies at all times
Qualifications
- Previous auto experience or mechanic background is preferred, with strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively to clients
- Proven sales ability with experience in upselling services or products
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing repair orders and documentation
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
