Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be proficient in working with gas appliances and HVAC systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various gas-related equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair gas appliances, including boilers and HVAC systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance on gas systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Build, plumb, and install new gas lines as required for residential or commercial projects.
- Utilize welding techniques for repairs or installations as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
- Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on-site.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in appliance repair or HVAC systems.
- Familiarity with schematics and ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Strong skills in building, plumbing, and maintaining gas lines.
- Welding experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications or licenses in gas technology are preferred but not required.
