Mountains Edge Construction has been in landscaping and concrete business for 20 years. We have established a strong reputation in the community and have built a great team and work environment. Our shop is located in the SE Foothills Industrial Area in Calgary. We are off of Barlow Trail and Glenmore Trail. Currently we are looking to add a Full time Class 1 Truck Driver to our team for the upcoming season.
Job Details
We are looking to hire a candidate with their Class 1 Drivers License for a tandem gravel truck and tri axel pup and occasionally a quad wagon. Truck would typically be hauling soils and aggregates within the city of Calgary and surrounding communities/towns. There would also be short highway hauls (within an hour).
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate trucks.
- Follow instructions; locate and read location and road maps.
- Pre-inspect truck.
- Pick up goods and materials, verify loads for accuracy, ensure truck is not overloaded for hauling and deliver them as instructed.
- Responsible for basic vehicle maintenance; comply with all safe work practices, policies, and processes at all times.
- Keep track of paperwork and fill tracking logs for accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Traffic laws/ Transport Canada regulations/ driving knowledge
- Clean driving record
- No DUI convictions in the past seven years
- Listening and verbal communication skills
- Dependability
- Class 1 Drivers License
