Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Breakfast Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests during breakfast hours, ensuring prompt and courteous service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in food service, guest relations, and hospitality operations within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and seat them promptly
- Manage guest waitlists and reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Take food and beverage orders accurately while providing exceptional customer service
- Assist with food preparation and meal presentation as needed
- Serve breakfast items, beverages, and handle cashiering duties including cash handling
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in compliance with food safety standards
- Refill supplies and ensure the buffet or serving stations are well-stocked throughout service
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, addressing concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction
- Support other hospitality functions such as cleaning, restocking, and assisting with special events or hotel services
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting during breakfast hours
- Kitchen experience or restaurant experience is a plus, including food preparation and meal presentation skills
- Hospitality background including hotel or barista experience is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Flexibility to work mornings during breakfast hours; weekend availability is a plus
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming guest experience
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
