The External Communications and Content Associate will maintain website content and monitor media. They will also collaborate with fellow colleagues within external communications and the broader Communications & Media Relations team, and pitch-in with additional projects.
Who you'll work with
You will report to the Senior Manager, Investment Communications and collaborate with the Internal, External, and Digital teams as well as People & Culture and other internal stakeholders across the organization.
What you'll do
Maintain website content including biographies, employee photos and investment information.
Establish processes to ensure external content is current, accurate and regularly updated.
Oversee maintenance and acquisition of new materials for digital asset library.
Redevelop and maintain the external communications calendar.
Project management and external vendor support for major projects including annual reporting.
Screen inbound executive speaking opportunities for senior leaders by performing research to determine relevance and suitability.
Coordinate social media postings with internal stakeholders and maintain a social calendar
Draft and post social media content for investment and corporate initiatives and announcements
Support as needed coordination of translation services with third-party vendors.
Provide support for major events including the Annual General Meeting.
Maintain briefing book content for senior executives.
Compile and send out daily media monitoring report.
Coordinate and send out weekly external communications report for senior executives.
In coordination with the online services team, analyze, evaluate and report on external communications metrics including social and traditional media coverage.
Report to and coordinate with external communications team on materials that respond to research and analytics findings.
What you'll need
Undergraduate degree in communications, journalism or a related discipline.
5+ years of communications experience, with a focus on external communications.
Knowledge and experience in social media and website content.
Strong judgment, analytical and project management skills.
Strong writing and editing skills.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects efficiently.
Advanced knowledge of, and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Competency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an asset.
Familiarity with/past experience in the investment industry is an asset.
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
