The Vista Operator is responsible for the operations of the Atmos Volumetric Pipeline Leak Detection Systems and provide tank farm coverage when not performing Atmos duties. This will include coordinating fuel system shutdowns with Airport Authority and PLH Dublin aircraft fueling operations.
Basic Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
· Provide coverage at the Tank Farm Facilities when not performing Atmos testing duties, which will include all aspects of Tank Farm Operations: Fuel receipts, Fuel quality testing to daily QC/QA functions.
· Maintain an up-to-date record on a daily basis of all general facility repairs & maintenance.
· Receive and dispense fuel from trucks and pipelines.
· Monitor tank levels to ensure a safe and sufficient volume of fuel is always on hand.
· Monitor pressure gauges/flow transmitters to ensure proper flow of fuel to hydrant system & other fuel facilities.
· Perform quality control tests on fuel being received and dispense from the fuel storage facilities.
· Conduct facility inspections and checks (daily/monthly/quarterly/annually) in accordance with CSA B836 standards.
· Coordinates with shippers to ensure all fuel deliveries commence as scheduled.
· Be safety conscious and be able to work following safety procedures.
· Complete fuel inventory and data entry functions as required to ensure fuel accounting accuracy.
· Perform minor maintenance as required to fuel handling equipment and components.
· Responsible for opening valve chamber lids and connect hydraulic hoses without assistance.
· All other tasks are required as per the job classification.
Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· Must hold valid Canadian Driver’s License.
· Obtain and maintain a valid Airport RAIC and AVOP designation.
· Familiarity with CSA aviation fuel quality control procedures.
· Working knowledge of the following aspects: Pumps, Valves, and Piping systems, Jet Fuel Properties, control and instrumentation systems.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Must be able to pass the Tank Farm Operator math skills test and color blindness test.
· Must have complete knowledge and understanding of the fuel facility and hydrant system.
· Be able to climb stairs and work at elevations as well as perform physical requirements.
· Be able to respond to and work in emergency conditions as required.
· Ability to work in all weather conditions and willingness to work flexible working hours.
