Overview:
We are a warm and caring family seeking a English & Tagalog-speaking caregiver to provide loving, hands-on support for our two young children—ages 13 Months and 26 Months—as well as assist with light housekeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have experience with infants and toddlers, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and nurturing home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for two children (19 months and 8 month). [During the week the 19mo child will be in daycare from 9am to 6pm]
- Assist with feeding, diapering, napping routines, and developmental play.
- Engage in activities that promote early learning, language development, and social-emotional growth.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for the children.
- Support housekeeping duties such as laundry, meal preparation, tidying up, and general upkeep of the home.
- Follow and help establish routines that support the well-being and development of both children.
- Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates and share observations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Speaks fluent English & Tagalog (preferred)
- Background in early childhood education, child development, or a related field is preferred.
- Current immunization record required.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Patience, warmth, and a calm demeanor, especially when managing multiple needs.
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive with household tasks.
Assets (Not Required):
- Experience caring for multiple children or twins.
- Ability to speak a second language.
- Flexibility with hours or occasional weekend availability.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Vacation pay and statutory holiday entitlements per Ontario regulations.
