Overview
The Assistant Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the coordination and execution of various programs and activities. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and have a strong background in swimming. The Assistant Coordinator will work closely with the program coordinators to ensure that all operational aspects run smoothly, providing an enriching experience for participants.
Duties
- Ensure a safe environment
- Ensure that water quality standards are met
- Assist in the planning and implementation of educational programs
- Assist in managing unionized lifeguard and instructor staff, as well as aquatic training instructors
- Help training and support the professional development of all employees
- Support the coordination of schedules to ensure all activities are well organized
- Assist in managing equipment inventory and ensure all materials are ready
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive learning environment

Requirements
- High School diploma
- National Lifeguard certification (Lifesaving Society)
- Swim Instructor certification (Lifesaving Society)
- 2 years of experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor
- Supervisory experience would be an asset
- Computer skills
- Bilingualism
- Must be available 25 hours during the summer
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $26.01-$29.29 per hour
