We are looking for a fully qualified painter.
The Painter will be responsible for ensuring that all parts are sprayed to a consistently high quality in a fast-paced manufacturing atmosphere. Responsibilities will include the identification and discarding of defective products, performing all work in a safe manner, cleaning and maintaining painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.
Job Duties
- Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paint mixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula
- Tend to or operate equipment to clean, wash, strip, sand, remove corrosion, fill dents or otherwise prepare items for application of paint, lacquer or other protective or decorative coatings
- Tend to or operate automated spray paint, dip or flow coating equipment or other mechanized painting or product coating application equipment
- Operate hand-held spray guns to spray paint or coat large items with protective or decorative coatings.
- Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes.
- Clean and maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment.
- Mark, record and report defects.
- Clean and perform preparation of work-site.
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Red Seal certification
- Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures.

Work Conditions
- Job requires ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Use of Personal Protection Equipment will be required (e.g. hard-hat, safety boots, etc.).
- Regularly in conditions that include heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue and to effectively jump, sprint or throw an object.
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Excellent stamina is required.

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
