Position Overview:
We are in search of a dynamic and experienced Financial Manager ready to step into a Controller role, leading and overseeing our financial operations with expertise and enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will possess a CPA, CMA, or CGA certification that has been active for at least 5 years, along with a robust background in financial management, accounting, and budgeting, particularly within the manufacturing sector. This role is crucial for ensuring the financial health and growth of our company and you will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting.
What you’ll be doing:
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with our growth goals. Prepare and analyze forecasts, budgets, and reports to guide decision-making. Monitor financial performance and deliver actionable insights to senior management.
- Accounting & Reporting: Oversee daily accounting tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Prepare detailed financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- Budget Management: Lead the budgeting process from preparation to approval. Track budget performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure we meet our financial targets.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage and forecast cash flow requirements. Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and efficiently manage working capital.
- Costing Standards & Product Line Reporting: Facilitate the establishment and maintenance of costing standards for our products and systems. Ensure accurate product line reporting and meet tight deadlines for financial analysis and reporting.
- Compliance & Controls: Uphold financial policies and internal controls. Coordinate with external accountants and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and manage audits effectively.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and support your finance team. Foster a high-performance and collaborative work environment that encourages professional development.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Certifications & Experience: A CPA, CMA, or CGA certification, with a solid 10 years of experience in financial management, particularly in the manufacturing sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop a team. Meticulous and organized with the capability to handle tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
