What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager who is passionate about helping small business owners succeed. You will play a key role in delivering high-level client service in a dynamic, structured and busy environment. You must be fluent in the English language. Servicing small business owners is a skill: you must have experience in this area, because you will be hitting the ground running. What’s the Role?
As Senior Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, reviewing files in a Compilation (aka Notice to Reader) environment, and providing general corporate & personal tax consulting services. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you’ll also be expected to guide and mentor our production team.
Daily Duties:
- Adhere strictly to S.M.E. CPA’s established production and workflow processes
- Review client files to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Meet or exceed deadlines while maintaining S.M.E. CPA’s high service standards
- Provide general tax consulting services to clients, including strategic advice on corporate structure and tax planning
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement client-centric solutions
- Juggle multiple client cases alongside day-to-day file review responsibilities
- Energetically identify and implement value-added opportunities for clients
Key Qualifications:
- CPA designation and relevant post-secondary education would be an asset, but not a requirement
- Minimum of 3 years of higher-level public practice consulting experience and tax planning
- Proficient in software such as Excel, Caseware; (Profile, Tax Prep or DT Max would be an asset but not required)
- Experience with corporate T2 & T3 filings and personal T1 filings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex financial information to clients
- A passion for helping small business owners succeed
