Coastal Inn Moncton/Dieppe is a respected traveler accommodation facility in the City of Dieppe (Moncton, NB), with 65 guest rooms and suites, along with several meeting rooms for up to 50 persons. Located in the heart of the Dieppe commercial district, close by shopping and entertainment, we look after the accommodation needs of visitors, business travelers and those passing through in need of a good night sleep.
Job Overview:
Reporting to the General Manager, the Night Auditor / Front Desk Agent (NA/FDA) brings their extensive customer service experience along with proven skills to the position. The NA/FDA will work overnight (11pm-7am) shifts at guest reception, interacting with our hotel guests, performing check in and check out functions, taking reservations over the phone and face to face on site. The NA/FDA is responsible for all aspects of the overnight operations of the hotel as well as verifying and closing the previous days' transactions. This is a part-time, permanent position, typically working two overnight shifts per week. The successful candidate will be considered for additional, daytime shifts if the opportunity arises.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct the nightly audit processes and reports
- Handle guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
- Manage phone systems and assist with reservations
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Confident communications skills, both on the phone and face to face, are essential. Strong English language skill, spoken and written, is required; bilingual (E/F) preferred. Candidates must present themselves well, be consistently professional, courteous and helpful, reliable (show up for work as scheduled), demonstrate personal integrity, possess well developed problem solving skills and have the maturity to handle new and/or difficult situations effectively and with tact and diplomacy.
Specific, recent and progressive experience in hotel operations is highly desired. Candidates must demonstrate a strong desire to grow professionally and a continuous learning mindset.
- Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Proficiency in phone etiquette and handling multiple phone lines
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of front desk operations and guest services
Candidates must be physically capable of being on their feet for extended periods. The work place has two levels with no elevator, so candidates must be capable of moving around the building, including up/down stairs.
Candidates must be a citizen of Canada, or a Permanent Resident, presently resident in Canada, legally permitted to work full time in Canada, and available to start work by June 20, 2026 or earlier.
Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour
