Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Class 5 Driving Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive driving instruction to new drivers, ensuring they develop safe and confident driving skills. This role requires excellent communication skills, patience, and a passion for teaching others. The instructor will play a vital role in shaping responsible drivers and promoting road safety through engaging and effective lessons.
Duties
- Perform in vehicle driving assessment and coaching
- Complete documents in a timely manner
- Assist in other Fire N Ice Driving Academy programs as needed
- Pick up and drop off students from designated locations
- Maintain the cleanliness of Fire N Ice Driving Academy vehicles and equipment. Ensure vehicle in use in fueled, windshield is clean, interior of vehicle is clean, wash car when needed, etc. Conduct in person in vehicle driving lessons for students seeking their Class 5 license, both in classroom settings and behind the wheel.
Experience
- You must be 25 years of age or older.
- Minimum 5 years driving experience.
- Driving Instructor experience preferred, not necessary we will train.
- Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant.
- Willing to work split shifts and weekends.
- Must be able to communicate in English, other languages are welcome.
- If the applicant is successful and moves to the next steps, the applicant must be prepared to go through the Province of Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridor application process for approval, unless the applicant is already a licenced Class 5 driving instructor, then the applicant will continue to the next stage.
- Agree to undergo on going training as needed.
- Must be punctual.
Pay: $21.00-$28.00 per hour
