About PAF Repair
We've been keeping heavy equipment running across the Greater Toronto Area for 18 years. We're an independent shop — no being stuck on one brand for a decade, no rotating through three different dealerships. We run shop work out of Brampton and offer mobile service to clients across the GTA. We're looking for an experienced mechanic to join the team.
What you'll be doing
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment — excavators, backhoes, dozers, loaders, and the occasional one-off
- Working across multiple brands: CAT, Case, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Hitachi, and others
- Repairs to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronic systems, drivetrains, and undercarriage
- Using diagnostic software (Cat ET, Cummins Insite, JD Service Advisor, JPRO) to read fault codes and calibrate systems
- Reading hydraulic schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Light welding and fabrication as needed
- Both in-shop work and mobile service at client sites across the GTA
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic.
- Strong diagnostic instincts across diesel, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with major equipment brands — you don't need to know every one, but you need to be able to figure out a new machine fast
- Valid Ontario G driver's license for mobile work
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
Nice to have (but not required)
- 421A Heavy Equipment Technician or 310T Truck & Coach Technician certification
- Apprenticeship in progress
- Experience with on-site / field service
- International training and experience welcome. If you trained as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic outside Canada and have the experience to back it up, we want to hear from you. We hire on skill.
What we offer
