Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Labourer to support our construction, development, and property maintenance operations. This is a hands-on position that involves working on active construction sites, assisting with property maintenance, and completing repairs and improvements in tenant units and common areas.
The successful candidate will report to Senior Management and Site Supervisors and will contribute to maintaining the quality, safety, and appearance of our properties and construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Work on active construction sites for new apartment and townhouse developments
- Assist with general construction tasks, including framing, drywall, insulation, and other site work
- Complete basic painting, including surface preparation, priming, and finishing
- Carry, load, unload, and organize construction materials and supplies
- Safely use hand tools and power tools
- Complete basic repairs and maintenance in tenant units, common areas, and properties
- Assist with property maintenance, including lawn care, snow removal, and general exterior upkeep
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas on construction sites and properties
- Assist with site cleanup, debris removal, and garbage removal as required
- Operate heavy equipment such as mini-excavators, skid steers, and telehandlers when qualified
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company policies
- Follow daily work plans and directions provided by Senior Management and Site Supervisors
- Travel between construction sites and properties as required
- Perform other related duties to support construction and property operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous labour, construction, maintenance, or related experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of construction practices and materials
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools
- Basic painting and surface preparation skills
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as a mini-excavator, skid steer, or telehandler is an asset
- Snow removal experience is an asset
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Reliable vehicle and ability to travel between job sites and properties
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Physically capable of performing manual labour and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely lift, carry, and move materials and equipment
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
