Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team.
The ideal candidate will support the dentist during clinical procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
This role is essential to delivering high-quality dental care and ensuring a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a wide variety of dental procedures (e.g., fillings, crowns, extractions, Ortho, Implant).
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental x-rays (as licensed/required).
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with charting.
- Manage room setup and cleanup between patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans as directed.
- Inventory and order dental supplies as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program.
- Valid certification or license as required by provincial regulations.
- HARP certification (if in Ontario, for taking x-rays).
- CPR certification.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Previous experience is preferred.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
