We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Tool Refurbishing & Cleaning Technician to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, refurbishing, and preparing oilfield tools and equipment for reuse. This is a physically active position that requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to workplace safety.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Transportation: Reliable vehicle required
Responsibilities
- Clean, refurbish, and prepare oilfield tools and equipment for reuse.
- Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble downhole tools, drill pipe components, and other oilfield equipment.
- Remove drilling mud, grease, scale, rust, and contaminants using pressure washers, solvents, and specialized cleaning equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and repair records.
- Ensure tools are properly tagged, organized, and stored in designated inventory locations.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards, and all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shop while using appropriate PPE at all times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with oilfield or downhole tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of inspection procedures and quality control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
