About the Team:
The Human Resources team offers consultancy and advice that's tailored to meet the business's immediate and long-term needs by applying a combination of innovative thinking and pragmatic methodology to deliver effective results.
Additionally, the team supports the business in attracting and retaining the right people needed to successfully implement their strategies, establish reliable partnerships, and work with leaders to understand present and anticipated human resource needs. They partner with employees and leaders to help foster a more meaningful employee experience.
About the Role:
Reporting into the Director of HR Business Partners, the Senior HRBP plays a key role in supporting the Sales Distribution teams globally, in alignment with AGF’s strategic priorities. The individual will take a big picture view, understand the broader industry and firm landscape, align HR initiatives with strategy, and anticipate future trends and challenges. They are equally comfortable in the details, delving into the minutiae of HR operations, resolving complex issues, and providing a consultative style of support to the business day-to-day.
Key responsibilities Specific to Sales Distribution Businesses:
HR Strategy Support

Support the alignment of the HR strategy with AGF’s strategic objectives and develop actionable and measurable strategies to achieve them

Regularly review deliverables, based on changes in the business environment or the firm’s strategic objectives
Talent Management

Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement talent acquisition strategies that align with business-specific growth objectives

Oversee a comprehensive employee development program, to enhance skills and career progression, in alignment with the team’s current and anticipated future needs

Analyze workforce data to identify trends and make informed decisions about talent management initiatives

Stay abreast of HR trends and frameworks focused on talent management, and development
Employee Experience

Support the rollout and action planning of the annual employee engagement survey to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement

Manage conflict resolution processes to address issues in a timely and fair manner

Promote a positive workplace culture that aligns with AGF’s values and objectives
Total Rewards

Support the development and implementation of any total rewards programs to align with business objectives and market trends

Ensure that compensation programs are competitive, sustainable, and aligned with the AGF’s culture

Regularly support the benchmarking of compensation and benefits against industry standards to ensure competitiveness

Promote the firm’s Employee Value Proposition internally and externally and encourage employee participation in the reward programs such as health and wellness initiatives
Performance Management Programs

Support performance management programs to ensure alignment with AGF’s strategic objectives and support leaders in this high-performing and accountable culture

Implement a continuous feedback system to provide employees at all levels with regular and candid development feedback based on performance/deliverables

Work closely with leaders to ensure fair and consistent application of performance standards
Candidate Profile + Qualifications

University bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources Management
-
8-10 years of experience in HR, preferably within the Financial Services Industry

Experience supporting a sales team would be an asset

Possesses exceptional communication, impact and influence, and interpersonal skills, and can articulate and champion organizational values and culture

A self-starter with the ability to manage projects and breakdown complex processes to execute work efficiently

Described as possessing a high degree of integrity, empathy, intuition, ethical conduct, sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness demonstrated in leadership approach, problem-solving, and decision-making
