Project Coordinator, Digital Fluency for the Workforce
This is a supervisory position that will provide project coordination for the Digital Fluency for the Workforce project which has been developed and implemented by the COWD department in collaboration with FLA. Under the direction of the Manager Community & Partnership Development, the incumbent will be responsible for the execution of the project work-plan, including supervision of support staff and providing oversight for all marketing, recruitment, assessment and participant supports, as well as the timely provision of data, research updates, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This position will be responsible for the ongoing implementation and reporting of the project’s applied research and work plan and will work with stakeholders involved, including the external funder and internal partners. The incumbent will represent the department and project Steering Committee at outreach events, and will, under direction of the Manager, develop partnerships with industry, faculty and community in order to facilitate the delivery of the project.
The successful candidate will possess a 4 year Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Psychology, or Education. The incumbent will have a minimum 3 years practical work-related experience including:
Working with underrepresented populations including women, racialized peoples, youth, those with essential skills and newcomers
Previous institutional research experience, especially using a community-based participatory action methodology, is preferred
A strong understanding of issues relating to digital fluency and workforce development
Strong communication, organizational and computer skills, including facilitation, and data systems and information management
Strong team working skills with previous supervisory experience
A strong background in Adult Literacy, Adult Education, and/or Community Development. In addition, knowledge of Employment Services would be considered an asset
