We are a growing restaurant food chain specializing in authentic Indian cuisine—from flavorful curries and fresh tandoori dishes to classic Indian street food favorites. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper / Cook to join our team at our Fairview Mall food court location.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking Indian dishes according to company recipes and quality standards
- Prepare ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and portioning food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations
- Assist with cooking, frying, and food assembly during busy service hours
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times
- Help receive, store, and rotate inventory using proper food handling procedures
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
- Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, food court, or commercial kitchen preferred
- Tandoor experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of Indian cuisine and kitchen operations is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
