Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and specialized tools
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various makes and models, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques to complete repairs
- Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
- Assist in vehicle inspections, troubleshooting issues, and recommending necessary repairs or replacements
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with customers regarding repair status
- Support ongoing maintenance tasks such as fluid changes, tire rotations, and system calibrations
- Work with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery
Skills
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics reading
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or parts handling
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Experience with vehicle assembly and maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
