St Mary Rideau Family Clinic is looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive Clinical Assistant / Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our growing team.
This is a unique role combining both clinical support and front desk Medical Office Assistant responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-centred family practice.
About the Role
Working alongside our physicians and healthcare team, you will provide clinical assistance while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the clinic.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting physicians with Pap tests
- Assisting with immunizations/vaccinations
- Preparing and completing physician forms and clinical documentation
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
- Answering telephone enquiries and responding to patient requests
- Supporting physicians and the clinical team to ensure efficient clinic operations
We're Looking For Someone Who:
✔ Has previous experience assisting with Pap tests and immunizations/vaccinations (required)
✔ Has excellent spoken and written English
✔ Has strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, physicians, and colleagues
✔ Has strong organisational skills and can prioritise competing responsibilities effectively
✔ Exercises sound judgment and makes good decisions independently
✔ Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
✔ Is comfortable balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities
✔ Can multitask efficiently in a fast-paced primary care environment
✔ Is a proactive team player who takes initiative while following established clinic processes
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, is confident working independently, and can prioritise effectively while maintaining exceptional patient care.
