Hecla Resort located in the beautiful Hecla Provincial Park is a full service, year round resort offering exceptional service, made from scratch foods and a welcoming atmosphere for our Guests. Our passion for hospitality and our commitment to Guest service starts with the people we employ.
We are looking for a Laundry Attendant to join our TEAM. We pay a fair hourly wage, and have staff accommodations close to the resort for only $9 per day, which includes utilities, internet and cable.
Staff housing is only 1.5 kilometres drive from the resort, or a 10 – 15 minute walk taking a short-cut through our golf course. We have a small, close-knit community of about 50 employees that live in housing on the Island. If you like nature and the outdoors, this is a fantastic place to live! Our employees also get discounts on food at Seagull's, golf, and some sessions at our Salka Spa!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, sort, clean soiled linens and towels.
- Operate washers/dryers.
- Ensure cleanliness of linens and towels for redistribution.
- Maintain laundry room area and cleaning supplies to established cleanliness standards.
- Work with housekeeping staff to ensure sufficient supplies available for each staff member.
- Communicate with maintenance on any necessary repairs and/ or replacement parts.
Qualifications:
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to follow instructions and direction from superiors
- Ability to work as a team member and take pride in your job
- Able to work efficiently at all time
- Knowledge/ training in chemical controls (cleaning solutions)
