Murphy Ford is a third-generation Ford dealership that has been a part of the Ottawa Valley community since 1966. The service department is an integral part of our dealership. We provide a wide range of quality care services to help keep our customers’ vehicles in great shape all year.
We are currently recruiting for an Automotive Detailer. This is a full-time position.
Detailing Responsibilities:
Performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer
Performing a pre-wash on vehicles prior to the actual repair process beginning and may also wash vehicles during estimating process in order to identify all damage
Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area(s)
Maintaining the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department
Keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas
General property maintenance including grass cutting, trimming, and similar property-related work
Cleaning the paved lots and performing minor lot repair
Moving and aligning vehicles in appropriate positions on the lot
Snow clearing of vehicles
Qualifications
A valid driver's licence
Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with the customer and the Murphy Ford team
Able to operate equipment in a safe manner
An eye for details
Punctual and reliable
Able to operate small machinery including a lawn mower, whipper snipper and related equipment
