As an Equipment Operator in our Production Team, it will be your responsibility to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment, optimizing operations. Support the daily operations by way of clearing system faults (technical or operational), identify areas of improvement, and monitoring material workflow using system reports and dialogues.
Responsibilities:
- Report product and equipment issues in assigned areas
- Troubleshoot machine faults in a timely and efficient manner
- Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment faults are resolved
- Complete reports regarding damaged cases and other general order-picking machine issues
- Learn and understand system tools (widgets) for reporting purposes
- Return all products and cases outside of automation to designated areas
- Regularly sweep floors and remove dust from and underneath equipment and panels
- Monitor system performance and operational status
- Escalate recurring faults
- Operate and control system equipment according to system order messages
- Provide feedback and updates on system performance
- Comply with all safety regulations related to assigned tasks and maintain a clean and safe work environment through active participation in the health and safety program
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma
- Specific technical education is an asset
- Basic training in electromechanics is an asset
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Ability to travel for training if required
Knowledge / Experience Required:
- Technical and mechanical aptitude
- Practical mindset with the ability to learn new tasks, concepts, and procedures
- Computer skills (Windows environment)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 30 meters after extensive training and with proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including a safety harness
- Ability to work in conditions ranging from +5°C to -28°C with provided PPE (cold-weather clothing, face protection, gloves, hand warmers)
- Must be able to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (preferred shifts assigned after ramp-up based on hire date)
- Ability to travel for training if required
- Basic training in electromechanics is an asset
