The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a BTO Order Entry Specialist. The BTO Order Entry Specialist performs order entry in a fast paced environment, and is responsible for reviewing and accurately entering technical/custom orders. Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.

This is a 12 month position to cover a maternity leave.

Essential Duties:
Review all BTO order entry documents for correct information and documentation. Information to review includes: configuration, pricing, discounts, shipping address, customer numbers, and all documents (drawings) that are required to enter a BTO order through e-order.
Resolve all discrepancies with order entry packages before entering an order with sales or application engineering.
Process all web-orders and e-orders. Review all order acknowledgements for correctness and forward copies to appropriate departments.
Maintain orders and revise orders as required when Engineering Change Notices (ECN’s) or Order Change Notices (OCN's) are received to modify existing orders. Distribute copies of ECN’s/OCN's.
Maintain open communication through the order entry process between Application Engineering Department, Purchasing and Sales Departments.
Other duties as assigned to support the business needs.
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Required Qualifications:
College diploma or degree preferably in engineering or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 3 years’ work experience in an HVAC environment (knowledge of typical products is essential)
Previous order entry (Customer Service) experience would be an asset. A detail oriented individual, able to maintain up-to-date literature, Bill of Materials, purchase orders and parts lists.

Preferred Qualifications:
Good computer skills, including but not limited to: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Access. Working knowledge of BPSC and eLogia. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to demonstrate courtesy and tact when dealing with coworkers.
